Terms of Service

1. Service description

QuickAsk AI is a productivity tool that lets you highlight text on any web page, send selections to third-party AI providers (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude), translate selected text, and keep notes, tasks, and highlights synced to your account. Some features open the AI provider directly in your browser — in those cases we do not process or receive your prompts or AI responses. We may introduce additional AI-powered features in the future; any such features will be described in an updated version of these Terms.

2. Privacy

Your use of the service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

3. Browser extension permissions

The Chrome extension requests only the permissions needed to deliver its core features — for example, reading selected text on the current page to send to an AI provider, storing notes locally, or syncing notes, tasks, and highlights to your account. We do not read page content beyond what is necessary for the feature you explicitly use, such as selected text, highlighted content, or page content you choose to summarize. Extension permissions are described in the Chrome Web Store listing and in our Privacy Policy.

4. Your account

• You sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your account without our permission.
• You must be at least 13 years old. If the laws of your jurisdiction require a higher minimum age or parental consent for services like ours, you must meet that requirement before using QuickAsk AI.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we have reasonable cause to believe pose a security risk.

5. Acceptable use

When using QuickAsk you agree not to:

• Use the service for anything illegal, fraudulent, or that infringes others' rights.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code beyond what local law allows.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our infrastructure without prior written consent (responsible disclosure: contact us at the email below).
• Use the service to send spam, malware, or to harass other users.
• Attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, or the sensitive-site protection list.
• Resell or rebrand the service without a written agreement.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the notes, tasks, and highlights you create ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the service for you (e.g. syncing across your devices). This licence ends when you delete Your Content or close your account.

You are responsible for what you put into Your Content. Do not store anything you do not have the right to use.

7. Third-party AI providers

For features that open an AI provider directly in your browser (OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Anthropic Claude), your selected text is sent or inserted into that provider's interface in your browser. Your interaction with that provider — including the prompt, the response, and any further conversation — is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy, not ours. In these cases, we do not proxy AI traffic and we do not receive your prompts or AI responses.

For any future QuickAsk AI features that involve our own backend AI processing, we will describe the data handling clearly in an updated Privacy Policy before those features are made available.

8. Plans, billing, refunds

• Free plan is offered as-is, subject to the limits shown on the Pricing page.
• Paid plans are billed in advance (typically monthly) and renew automatically until you cancel.
• Billing and payment processing may be handled by third-party payment providers. Their terms apply to your payment transactions.
• You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No pro-rated refunds for partial months unless required by applicable law.
• Plan limits, prices, and features may change. We will give at least 14 days' notice for material price increases on existing paid subscriptions.

9. Changes to the service

We continuously improve QuickAsk. We may add, modify, or remove features — including features available on a given plan — with reasonable notice. We will not remove your existing data without prior notice.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice in the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the new Terms, you should stop using the service.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, that bugs will be fixed within any specific timeframe, or that AI responses obtained via integrated third-party providers are accurate, complete, or fit for any purpose.

Do not rely on QuickAsk AI for any safety-critical, medical, legal, or financial decision.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

13. Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. You may request account deletion by emailing vietanhbkaaa@gmail.com. We may terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these Terms, with notice where reasonable. Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive — including Your Content licence wind-down, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will remain in effect.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms will be resolved in the competent courts of Hanoi, Vietnam, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
